Went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ at the age of 99 on November 30, 2009 in Los Banos, CA. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles E. Painter in 1977. She is survived by her son, Terry (Stuardt) Clarke of San Pablo, CA., granddaughter, Tami Welker of Los Banos, CA., grandson Rodney Pray, one great-grandson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was born in Akers, KS and a longtime resident of Gilroy, CA for 48 years until she relocated to Los Banos in November 2000. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Gilroy since 1958. She taught Sunday School and was past secretary. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 – 11:00 A.M. at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park in Gilroy, CA.
