Alfred Joseph Navaroli

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend entered into his eternal peace on June 19, 2008. Born in Massachusetts but quickly grew to love his adopted town of Gilroy, Alfred started his career in the mailroom at PG&E in 1954. Two years later, he joined produce shipping company Bud Antle where he spent the next 31 years. Upon retirement, he became more actively involved in his community and served on various city task forces, Parks and Recreation, Sons of Italy and most notably with the South Valley Symphony where he had served as President. His top priorities were securing funds and serving as the symphony's promoter extraordinaire. His passion for classical music was only eclipsed by his love and dedication to his family and friends. He displayed his competitive spirit every time he dealt a game of Pedro or Gin Rummy, played a round of golf, or engaged in a lively discussion on a wide range of topics. World traveled and always quick witted, he most enjoyed the simple pleasures of sitting around a table with the ones he loved.
