Gertie was the mother of Clark (Carol) Dotson, grandmother of Anita Wilson, Ken Burns, Cindy (Paul) Karpinsky, Manuel (Nancy) Burns, Karen Ahumada, Robert (Vera) Burns, Christy (John) Winter and David Burns, great-grandmother of James Wilson, John (Amy), Tara and Jimmy Karpinsky, Jordenne and Jesus Burns, Lindsey and Jason Ahumada, Zack and Griffen Burns, John and Andrew Winters and Kathie, Michael and Anthony Burns, great-great-grandmother of Cody and Sydney Karpinsky, stepmother of Juanita (Howard) Schuler and aunt of Maxine (Rudy) Siderits. She was preceded in death by her husbands Oscar Burns Sr., Cecil Dotson and Troy Phillips, her son Oscar Burns, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and stepson Coy Phillips. She has been a Gilroy resident for over 40 years.
