After several months of closed-to-the-public talks and meetings with a City Council subcommittee, Council will vote during their regular meeting Monday night on whether to give the city clerk a merit raise. 

Child porn suspect pleads not guilty

The Gilroy man who was arrested by the FBI in October for two felony counts of child pornography plead not guilty Oct. 29 in federal court.

Founders of a Gilroy charter school who have their eyes set on opening a similar school in Hollister next fall were “thrilled” with the outcome of a Hollister School District board vote Tuesday offering conditional approval of the petition.

I lost a great friend and mentor this past month in Hall of Fame golf instructor Jim Flick. He taught golf for more than 50 years and he died of cancer at the age of 82. He was considered as one of the top three best golf instructors of the 20th century.
