Gavilan College students can now get instant access to grades, schedules, rosters, and other campus resources through a new app available on both iPhone and Android platforms.

School campuses off limits after hours

For the last decade, the Gilroy Unified School District has been installing fences to keep children safe from intruders – a project that was ramped up after the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting in December 2012. But the fact GUSD is keeping many of its playgrounds closed after hours has recently caught the attention of City Council. Members are worried that local children are losing public spaces where they can play and be active.
