CHS sports complex project kicks off

Three hundred fifty nine days after Don Christopher donated the initial $1 million to get the wheels in motion for building an athletic complex on the Christopher High School campus, the Gilroy Unified School District’s Board of Education gave its official approval which will jumpstart construction.

New president, vice president for Santa Clara County Board of Education

GHS choir building to be named in Phil Robb’s honor

The Gilroy Unified School District Board of Education unanimously approved naming the Gilroy High School choir building in honor of Phil Robb, the iconic choral director who retired June 14 after a 30-year career instilling the joy of singing to Gilroy high schoolers.

Coming up: Bid, contract approvals for CHS track and field project

A handful of construction bid awards and contract approvals for facilities projects within the Gilroy Unified School District will be voted on during the regular Board of Education meeting this Thursday. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at 7810 Arroyo Circle. District staff recommends the School Board approve the following items, in addition to others listed here.
