CHS hosts Zumba fundraiser
Christopher High School 's Parent Club is sponsoring a Zumba fundraising event Jan. 19 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the high school's main gym where participants can kick start their new year's fitness routine and help raise money for the school.

New immunization law requires parents to make “informed decisions”
On Sep. 30 Gov. Jerry Brown signed Assembly Bill 2109 into law which, as of Jan. 1, 2014, requires all California parents who do not have their children immunized to read information about the benefits and risks of immunizations. Parents must sign a waiver from a physician or a nurse practitioner stating they have received that information, before they will be allowed to enroll their children in school.

Ascencion Solorsano Middle School students made a special banner last week for the Newtown, Conn. community and schools to offer their support and condolences following the recent tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The banner was signed and decorated by ASMS staff and students and will be sent to Newtown during the winter break.
