Existing surfaces will be ground out and replaced with a new layer of asphalt, while rumble strips will be installed on the centerline in all the locations for the project and dikes will be built on shoulders for better drainage.
Drivers should expect one-way traffic control directed by flaggers and pilot cards. Vehicles will be stopped during such controls while waiting their turn to proceed, according to Caltrans.
For the Highway 25 closure, the detour is to take westbound Highway 25 over the bridge and back to southbound Highway 101 for three miles, then to the Y road off-ramp and to northbound 101.
For the Highway 156 detour, drivers will take the northbound 101 off-ramp to westbound Monterey Road, to the southbound 101 on-ramp, and then to the eastbound Highway 25 off-ramp.
