Two bomb threats were made at two separate businesses in Morgan Hill within minutes of each other, and police believe the same person called in both threats, which were unfounded. No suspects have been identified, according to Morgan Hill police Sgt. Jerry Neumayer.
The first bomb threat, which was reported to police at 12:03 a.m. Sunday, was called in to the Shell gas station at 810 East Dunne Ave. The threatening caller said a bomb was somewhere in the gas station and would blow up in 24 hours, according to police.
The second bomb threat was reported at 12:10 a.m. and was made to the Jack in the Box restaurant at 17015 Condit Road. The caller said he was going throw a bomb through the drive-through window.
Neumayer said officers investigated both calls and determined both threats to be unfounded, and no bombs or explosive devices were detected.
He added that both businesses’ phones listed the incoming calls’ phone numbers as “unidentified.”
