Local veteran releases children’s book about four-legged heroes

My goal in taking on this project and partnering with Mary to create this book was to drive awareness and generate additional revenue for Operation Freedom Paws. I wanted to help Mary continue her mission and grow her inspiring non-profit organization.

Editorial: Marie Blankley for mayor

Gilroy’s next mayor will face an unprecedented financial situation that is mired in uncertainty. The mayor alone won’t be able to solve this issue. But how effectively they lead the city council during the next four years will be critical to Gilroy’s long-term survival. There is...

Letters: Gilroy needs some major changes, help students stay connected

Gilroy needs some major changes The elections are coming up soon and most likely Marie Blankley will become mayor. That means nothing will change. Our last mayor, even though a good family man and a nice guy, never brought our town into the 21st century...

Letter: Thanks for keeping horses safe

It is more than heartening what two organizations did for total strangers. It is something with which we would like to associate individuals.

Guest View: Change the culture

Letter: America is in trouble

We have a big election this year. President Trump seems to think this is Joe Biden’s America, well it’s not, it’s Donald Trump’s America, where mayhem and chaos is now an everyday thing! Trump is a failure in every way! The virus, the economy. What...

Letter: PG&E working to reduce shutoffs

At PG&E, we know how disruptive shutoff events are to our customers. This year, we are improving Public Safety Power Shutoffs by making events smaller in size, shorter in length and smarter for our customers. Our goal is to reduce the number of customers affected...

Letter: Accept the voters’ voices

In the 2016 general election, Roland Velasco was elected mayor with two years remaining on his council seat. His seat as a council member was vacated and needed to be filled. The need to fill that seat was known on the night of the...
