Both Jim Johnson, sports editor at the Morgan Hill Times, and Mark Cummings, athletic director at Live Oak High, went a sterling 8-2 last week and vaulted right up the Pick ‘Em standings.
Sure, the boxer and the columnist are still hanging in there, but there’s clearly been a momentum shift toward the boys from the Hill.
And yes, rumor is the Acorns beat the Mustangs recently, too.
Some towns have all the luck.
