Gilroy police arrests
Possession of an unlawful weapon
Andrew Henry Rivera, 46, of the 600 block of Arnold Drive, 3:04 a.m. Thursday, near the intersection of Wren Avenue and La Alondra Way for possession of an unlawful weapon, providing false information during a traffic stop and driving without a license.
Petty theft
Three 16-year-old females, whose name and address police withheld because they are minors, between 6:30 and 9:17 p.m. Thursday, at Kohl’s, 6765 Camino Arroyo.

Vandalism
Tires on a Ford F150 were slashed, causing $700 in damage, while the vehicle was parked in Monte Bello Ridge, 985 Montebello Drive, between 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and 12:10 a.m. Thursday.
An unknown suspect or suspects broke a car window with a beer bottle while the car was parked outside 7940 Hanna St., 6:15 p.m. Thursday.
Other Sheriff Incidents
Recovered stolen vehicle
Sheriff’s deputies found a gray 1987 Honda Accord, reported stolen out of San Jose, near the intersection of Church Street and Las Animas Road, 2:19 a.m. Nov. 21.
Sheriff’s deputies found a black 2998 Cadillac DeVille, reported stolen in Gilroy just 30 minutes earlier, at Rotten Robbie, 390 Leavesley Road, 7:55 p.m. Nov. 14.
Attempted burglary
Using a pry tool, a suspect or suspects tried to open a window on the front of a residence near the intersection of Windemere Court and Cochrane Road in Morgan Hill, between 11:30 Nov. 21 and 8 a.m. Nov. 22. The victims were at home asleep, but the suspect or suspects did not gain entry.
Vehicle theft
A white 2006 Ford F250 with unlocked doors, ignition keys on the front seat and several thousand dollars worth of construction tools was stolen from the driveway of a house at 4700 Little Uvas Road in Morgan Hill, between 12 and 10 p.m. Nov. 22.
Petty theft
A mailbox was pried open and mail, including a credit card bill, was stolen from outside a residence near the intersection of Oak Glen Avenue and Uvas Road in Morgan Hill, between 12 p.m. Nov. 14 and 12 p.m. Nov. 16.
Checks were stolen out of a mailbox at a residence near the intersection of Renaissance Court and Foothill Avenue in San Martin, between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Nov. 7. The checks were then found forged in anther city.
Residential burglary
A laptop valued at $1,500 was stolen from a residence at 500 block of Bolsa Road while the resident was out, between 5 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday. The suspect or suspects gained entry through a bathroom window.
Jewelry valued at $100 was stolen from a residence near the intersection of Sycamore and Church avenues in San Martin, between 9 a.m. Nov. 21 and 8:45 p.m. Saturday. The suspect or suspects broke the front window to get into the house, then searched several areas in the house.
