Petty theft with prior convictions

Attempted suicide
A woman was reported passed out on the 7400 block of Monterey Street, about 2:45 p.m. Sunday. Police found a bottle of weed killer nearby and took her to a nearby hospital.
A 17-year-old girl stood on the Leavesley Road overpass, above U.S. 101, and threatened to throw herself off into traffic, about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Numerous drivers called police, who arrived on scene, created a diversion and grabbed the girl. She did not suffer any injuries and was transported to a nearby welfare facility.
Robbery
An unknown male approached a 26-year-old male while he was using a pay phone outside 7-Eleven, 370 Leavesley Road, showed the victim a knife and demanded his wallet. The incident occurred between 9:30 and 11 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect, who was described as between 25 and 27 years old, about 5-foot-5-inches and 150 pounds, fled in a fairly new Toyota Corolla.
Grand theft
Copper wire valued at $5,000 was stolen from boxes in a trailer at Guaranty RV Center, 5975 Travel Park Circle, between 8 a.m. Nov. 1 and 12 p.m. Dec. 6.

Grant Douglas Nielsen, 21, of the 10000 block of Guibal Avenue, 11:24 p.m. Sunday, at the Gilroy Caltrain Station, 7150 Monterey Street.
n Lauro Mata Vela Jr., 38, of the 1600 block of Church Street, 10:30 a.m. Friday, near the intersection of East Dunne Avenue and Church Street in Morgan Hill for being under the influence of a controlled substance and on a warrant for the same.
Controlled substance possession
Kimberly Angelmarie Stanley, 20, of the 9100 block of Connell Court, 1 a.m. Tuesday, near the intersection of Monterey Road and Welburn Avenue for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Driving under the influence
Riley Bruington Hassell, 27, of San Jose, 1:50 a.m. Thursday, near the intersection of Highway 85 and Blossom Hill Road in San Jose.
Possession of stolen vehicle
Frank Ramirez, 29, of the 400 block of Fairview Drive, 1 a.m. Dec. 4, at the Garlic Farm RV Park, near the intersection of Travel Park Circle and Monterey Road, for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property and probation violation.
Dana Ocampo, 22, of the 7000 block of Rogers Lane, 12:02 a.m. Dec. 3, at the Garlic Farm RV Park, near the intersection of Travel Park Circle and Monterey Road, for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property and possession of methamphetamine.
Jean Marie McCammond, 40, of San Jose, 7:45 p.m. Dec. 4, near the intersection of Maple and Seymour avenues in San Martin for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property and parole violation.
False information
Arturo Alberto Briseno, 35, of San Jose, 7:45 p.m. Dec. 4, near the intersection of Maple and Seymour avenues in San Martin for providing false information to a peace officer and violating Gilroy’s open container law and on a warrant for parole violation.
Marijuana possession
Austin James Gubrud, 19, of the 300 block of Churchill Place, 7:14 p.m. Nov. 27, at the Gilroy Sports Complex, 5925 Monterey Frontage Road, for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Andrew James Hyer, 19, of the 1400 block of Welburn Avenue, 7:14 p.m. Nov. 27, at the Gilroy Sports Complex, 5925 Monterey Frontage Road, for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Sean Patrick Mooney, 18, of the 14000 block of Sunnybrook Court in Morgan Hill, 12:33 a.m. Saturday, near the intersection of California and Harding avenues for possession of marijuana in a vehicle.
Kidnapping
Hereberto Alvarez Cota, 30, of the 13500 block of Monterey Road in San Martin, 2:50 a.m. June 9, at his residence for kidnapping, domestic battery, threatening to commit a crime and false imprisonment.

Cesar Gomes Chamorro, 23, of the 7400 block of Alexander Street, 4:45 p.m. Dec. 6, at his residence.
Identity theft
Ricardo Diaz, 22, of the 7000 block of Maple Street, 12:00 a.m. Nov 11, at B&D Mushrooms, 14255 Sycamore Ave., for using a false social security number.

Recovered stolen vehicle
Sheriff’s deputies found a brown 1997 Pontiac Grand Am stolen out of Gilroy in a field near the intersection of Bolsa and Monterey roads, 11:35 a.m. Dec. 5.
