-Ramon Vera Medena, 32, of Hollister, 6:54pm Tuesday, at the intersection of 10th and Rosanna streets.

-Kenneth David Lawrence, 49, of Watsonville, 1:34am Thursday, at 8350 Forest Street.

Domestic battery

-A 17-year-old female, whose address and name were withhold because she is a juvenile, 11:32pm Tuesday, for domestic battery when she attacked her boyfriend.

-Armando Avina, 34, of the 7700 block of Ghirlanda Court, 2:16am Thursday, at his residence on warrants for domestic battery and violation of a protection order.

Battery

-Phillip Barbosa, 48, transient., 6:50pm Wednesday, at the Gilroy Police Department, 7301 Hanna St., on a warrant for battery.

Driving under the influence

-Jaime Hernandez-Gonzalez, 32, of 100 block of Liman Avenue, 12:58am Thursday, at the intersection of Second and Church streets for driving under the influence.

Vandalism

-An 11-year-old and 12-year-old, whose names and addresses are being withheld because they are juveniles, 4:49pm Wednesday, at the intersection of 10th and Alexander streets for vandalism causing damage in excess of $400. They were breaking windows and tagging buildings.

Other GPD incidents

Grand theft

-An iPod was stolen from South Valley Middle School, 385 IOOF Ave., between 8am and 1pm Sept. 27. The suspects are unknown, police said.

Residential burglary

-A house on 7705 Isabella Way was broken into Wednesday between 7am and 5pm and a jewelry box full of jewelry was stolen. It is unclear how entry was gained.

Under the influence of a

controlled substance

-Raymond H. Soto, 53, of San Jose, 7:15am Friday, in Morgan Hill.

-Gilberto Garcia, 34, of the 1800 block of East Main Street in Morgan Hill, 11:20am Monday, for being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

Driving under the influence

-Pedro Lopez, 27, of the 7400 block of Royal Lane, 12:55pm Sunday, at 80 W. Highland Ave. in San Martin for driving under the influence and on a warrant for without a license.

Other sheriff’s incidents

Assault and battery

-A man was assaulted about 6:30pm Sunday on Ferguson Road and suffered minor injuries. Sheriff’s deputies suspect the assailant, who is still at large, was the victim’s brother, Francisco Rios, 33, of Ferguson Road

Auto burglary

-A 1997 green Honda CRV was broken into and a briefcase stolen from the passenger’s seat, between 9:30am and 1pm Saturday. The car, which had its front passenger-side window broken in the burglary, was parked at West Side Nursery on Hecker Pass Highway, where the victim works.
