– Charles Glenn Barnes, 46, of the 900 block of Irish Court, 5:15am Thursday, at his residence on a warrant.

– Erica Marie Robles, 19, of San Juan Bautista, 11:52pm Wednesday, at the intersection of Seventh and Hanna streets on warrants for being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

– Jesse Salinas, 45, no address given, 5:15pm Wednesday, at 825 First St. for being under the influence of a controlled substance and parole hold.

Driving without a license

– Victor Rivera Padilla, 32, of the 12500 block of New Avenue in San Martin, 1:12am Wednesday, at 303 E. 10th St. on warrants for knowingly driving without a license, moving or leaving an unregistered trailer and driving without insurance.

Driving under the influence

– James Everette Garrett, 34, of the 8200 block of Westwood Drive, 3:15pm Tuesday, at the intersection of West 10th Street and Pittsburg Way on warrants for driving under the influence, fleeing a police officer, driving without a license, driving without a seatbelt and driving with lights not in working order.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

– Jonathan Hernandez, 21, of the 7800 block of Hanna Street, 11pm Monday, at 7750 Hanna St. for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Commercial burglary

– A statue was taken from inside St. Mary Catholic Church, 11 First St., by a suspect who fled in a vehicle, between 9am and 3:30pm Monday.

Vandalism

– Locks were damaged at an apartment complex on the 500 block of IOOF Avenue, 2:35pm Monday.

Residential burglary

– A car stereo was taken from a residence on the 500 block of IOOF Avenue, 9:57am Monday.

Sheriff’s arrests

Possession of marijuana

– Michael Robert Giannuzzi, 35, of Lantz Drive in Morgan Hill, 10pm Oct. 2, on a parole hold. A sheriff’s deputy saw Giannuzzi’s vehicle on the side of the road and thought it looked suspicious. When he approached, he smelled marijuana and searched the vehicle, finding one pound of marijuana in two black plastic bags and a glass pipe. Giannuzzi could be booked for possession of marijuana for sale, transportation of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Under the influence of a controlled substance

– Diana Lynn Clinton, 48, of the 13200 block of South Lincoln Avenue in San Martin, 8:45pm Monday, at 80 Highland Avenue on a warrant for being under the influence of a controlled substance. She was one of Gilroy’s Most Wanted.

Possession of a

controlled substance

– Rogelio Canales Ibanez, 53, of the 100 block of Third Street, 8pm Oct. 4, at the intersection of Monterey and Old Gilroy streets on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Other sheriff’s incidents

Suicide

– A man was found by his wife hanging by his neck in the carport area of their residence near the intersection of Sheila and Sycamore avenues in Morgan Hill. She called the law enforcement, who pronounced the victim dead at 1:11pm Oct. 2 but estimated the time of death two hours prior.

Unattended death

– A man fell off the roof of his residence on Lena Avenue and hit his head on the concrete walkway below. Law enforcement arrived at the scene and found the man dead at 10:39am Oct. 3.

Petty theft

– A wallet containing $20 and credit cards was stolen from a female while she was at school at Gavilan College, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd., between 11:15am and 1:30pm Friday.

Auto burglary

– Furniture, phone equipment and other possessions were stolen from inside a white trailer on Rucker Avenue between Sept. 10 and Oct. 1. The lock was pried off the door.

Vandalism

– A pumpkin was thrown into a mailbox, knocking it down to the ground, outside a residence on Santa Teresa Boulevard between 8pm Saturday and 8:30am Sunday.

Grand theft

– A wallet, money, camera equipment and other possessions were stolen from an unlocked 2007 green Jeep Wrangler parked outside the victim’s home on Lena Avenue between 9pm Saturday and 8pm Sunday.

Assault and battery

– John Thomas Kozlosky, 28, of Pacheco Pass Highway, was arrested for battery 11:53am Saturday. The male victim claimed Kozlosky choked and punched him outside a residence.

Residential burglary

– A woman stopped a burglar in the act, snatching back a purse that he was trying to steal from a countertop in her house on Crews Road at 10am Friday. The white male, who she described as five-foot nine-inches and 160 pounds with medium build and wearing a cap over his collar-length brown hair, entered through the back door and fled in a red Dodge pickup truck.

Recovered stolen vehicle

– Road crews found a red 1998 Acura Integra blocking the road near the intersection of Uvas Road and Kell Court in Morgan Hill 6:30am Oct. 4. The vehicle had been reported stolen by the Sanford Police Department and it was found stripped of its engine, transmission and seats.

Commercial burglary

– An ATM loaded with money and an alarm box totaling $3,550 were stolen from a gas station on Monterey Road in San Martin between 9:20am Oct. 2 and 12:30am Oct. 3. The suspect or suspects, who are unknown and still at large, cut locks on two gates to enter the property through the employee entrance and pried off the stolen items.
