Police blotter

The Gilroy Police Department responded to a variety of crimes in the last week or so, including assault with a deadly weapon, unlawfully causing a fire, possession of hypodermic needles or syringes and being drunk in public. Arrests are recorded from the GPD’s blotter dating Aug. 8 through Aug. 15.
DUI
-Joseph Zalaznik, 26, August 10 at 1:25 a.m. near the intersection of Santa Teresa Boulevard and Club Drive for driving under the influence with a BAC of 0.08 or higher.
-Roel Peral, 44, August 11 at 10:34 a.m. on the 100 block of W. Hedding Street for driving with a BAC of 0.08 or higher.
-Allen Read, 45, August 12 at 1:02 a.m. near the intersection of Monterey Street and Masten Avenue for possession of marijuana and driving under the influence with a BAC of 0.08 or higher.
Probation violation
-Roy Reime, 48, August 9 at 2:55 a.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for violation of protective order.
-Tony Lujan, 24, August 15 at 2:11 a.m. near the 900 block of First Street for rearrest for probation violation.
-Armando Pineda, 23, August 13 at 1:20 a.m. near the intersection of Alexander and Lewis streets for violation of protective order, parole hold and battery on a former spouse or fiancé.
Assault
-Crystal Espino, 24, August 10 at 2:55 a.m. near the intersection of Welburn Avenue and Church Street for assault with a deadly weapon.
Under the influence in public
-Luis Jimenez, 33, August 12 at 7:50 p.m. on the 7000 block of Monterey Street.
-Francisco Cruz, 34, August 12 at 10:02 p.m. near the intersection of Eigleberry and Third streets.
-Manfred Geister, 56, August 13 at 7:04 p.m. near the intersection of Third and Carmel streets.
-William Reisert, 56, August 14 at 5:31 p.m. on the 8100 block of Camino Arroyo.
Multiple charges
-Samantha Sanchez, 30, August 8 at 2:41 a.m. on the 8400 block of Church Street for entering a non-commercial dwelling, resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer and petty theft.
-Naomi Garcia, 26, August 8 at 11:33 p.m. near the intersection of Tatum and Wren avenues for second degree burglary, driving with privileges suspended and being under the influence of controlled substances.
-Lisa Espino, 31, August 10 at 2:55 a.m. on the 8400 block of Church Street for petty theft, driving with privileges suspended and expired registration.
-Robert Silva, 25, August 13 at 2:31 a.m. near the intersection of El Invierno Drive and El Verano Way for being under the influence in public, unlawfully causing a fire of a structure or forestland and resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer.
-Rondell Foster, 37, August 14 at 10:26 p.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for battery against a spouse, fiancé or cohabitant, driving with a suspended license and for using a wireless telephone device without a hands-free device.
Possession
-Rafael Aparicio, 35, August 8 at 11:21 p.m. near the intersection of W. Tenth and Eigleberry streets for possession of hypodermic needles or syringes, use of controlled substances, possession of narcotic controlled substances, petty theft and selling stolen property.
-John Kitaji, 57, August 14 at 2:55 p.m. on the 7200 block of Monterey Street for unlawful possession of paraphernalia and resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer.
-Peter Spohr, 53, August 15 at 12:18 a.m. near the intersection of Hanna Street and El Cerrito Way for possession of a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Vandalism
-Tania Valencia, 22, August 12 at 12:20 p.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for vandalism.
Resisting arrest
-Jose Solorio, 26, August 12 at 12:57 a.m. on Eighth Street for parole hold and resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer.
-Jeannette Erwin, 25, August 10 at 11:29 p.m. near the intersection of Sixth and Forest streets for possession of a controlled substance and resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer.
Burglary
-Stacy Reggiani, 33, August 8 at 4:50 p.m. on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo for first degree burglary and possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.
-Rose Gidding, 28, August 9 at 3:04 p.m. on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo for first degree burglary.
-Alfonso Cruz, 27, August 12 at 4:40 a.m. near the intersection of First Street and Kern Avenue for first degree burglary, parole hold and resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer.
Theft
-Danny Pachecho, 31, August 8 at 7:05 a.m. near the intersection of Welburn and Kern avenues for petty theft and violating probation.
-Guillermo Hernandez, 39, August 12 at 11:45 a.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for petty theft.
-Sean Thomas, 48, August 12 at 1:25 p.m. near Glenview Drive and Tenth Street for theft of property belonging to an elderly or dependent adult.
-Celina Martinez, 21, August 14 at 1:20 p.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for petty theft and possession of a controlled substance.
Driving infractions
-Justin Frascone, 21, August 10 at 12:00 p.m. near the intersection of Camino Arroyo and Renz Lane for driving with privileges suspended and making an unsafe turn.
-Steve Corchero, 36, August 10 at 7:46 p.m. near the intersection of Forest Street and Leavesley Road for driving with privileges suspended and with expired registration.
Prior knowledge of crime
-Tiana Perez, 28, August 9 at 2:29 a.m. on the 9300 block of Monterey Street for knowledge of a felony that had been committed.
False personation
-Cruz Cid, 40, August 13 at 4:40 a.m. on Longmeadow Drive for possession of burglary tools, rearrest for probation violation and false personation of another person.
-Jennifer Cooke, 31, August 15 at 2 a.m. on the 7900 block of Monterey Road for appropriating lost property and false personation of another person.
Contempt of court
-Nathaniel Espino, 53, August 14 at 9:55 a.m. near the intersection of E. Tenth and Chestnut streets for contempt of court.
-Raul Silva, 50, August 9 at 7:40 p.m. on the 7800 block of Monterey Street for contempt of court, failure to appear in court and having four or more stolen access cards.
Contributing to delinquency of a minor
-Jaime Gonzalez, 26, August 15 at 2:11 a.m. near the 900 block of First Street.
