A package intended for Zales jewelry was delivered to the wrong address and more than $20,000 of merchandise is missing.
Dec. 3
2 p.m.: Someone broke into a London Drive yard and stole collectable Coca Cola items, including a red cooler worth $600, a white and red Texaco can with green letters, a three-foot high Coke dispenser worth $1,500 and fire boots and pants.
Dec. 5
8:10 a.m.: A Gilroy High student had a knife and on further investigation, police learned he had sold a marijuana cookie to another student.
Dec. 6
10:34 a.m.: Police had to dispatch an injured deer at Cruden Bay Way.
5:19 p.m.: A thief entered the employees area of a restaurant on Westwood Drive and stole a purse with valuables worth $1,300.
8 p.m.: A woman who answered her door on Seventh Street to a man who was selling oranges had a seizure and when she awoke, the man was on top of her raping her. He ran away as she woke up.
Dec. 7
4 a.m.: A car chase that started when a driver blew through a Gilroy stop sign ended in Salinas when the 2006 Honda collided into a car. One passenger was arrested, but the driver and another passenger ran away. The driver dropped a wallet and police are looking for her.
8:05 a.m.: A tan 1996 Toyota Corolla was stolen from a public lot off Monterey Street.

11:50 a.m.: A victim was defrauded of $500 by a phone caller who claimed to be with PG&E and said they would turn off the power unless the bill was paid by credit card on the phone.

3:15 a.m.: Three men cut a hole in a fence on Forest Street and stole a bucket of scrap copper pipe worth $10.
Dec. 12
12:58 p.m.: A man loaded two $15.99 barrels of Tide pods into his backpack and walked out of a Chestnut Street store. He was arrested shortly afterwards, next door.
1:33 p.m.: Someone called in a death threat at Best Buy, threatening to kill store associates.
8:35 p.m. Gilroy Police arrested Nelson Diego Garcia, 41, with a meth pipe and pepper spray, saying this was the seventh time he’s been confrontational when stopped.
11 p.m. A 2003 Toyota was stolen from a Gage Court driveway. The keys were left inside.
Dec. 13
9:45 a.m.: A juvenile girl got in a fight with her mother on Holloway Road. The mother left. When she returned, all of her clothes were gone.
11:30 p.m. Unknown suspects entered a Westwood Drive storage building through a hole and stole a $650 airless spray painter.
Dec. 14
12:30 p.m.: A Christopher High student received a death threat from another student.
7 p.m.: Someone lifted a woman’s wallet from her purse at a Renz Lane store and racked up $3,000 of charges at Best Buy.
Dec 15
Overnight: Someone broke a $1,000 lobby window at the Fourth Street Post Office with a river rock.
1:15 a.m.: Someone entered a Spencer Court home through an unlocked sliding glass door and stole Christmas presents, including a surveillance camera, a drone and shoes.
4 p.m.: Someone stole a pressure washer worth $6,000 from a residence on the 7600 block of Isabella Way.
Dec 16
12:23 a.m.: Someone stole 13 pairs of Beats headphones valued at $4,000 from a San Ysidro business. Because of a blackout, the surveillance cameras weren’t working.
4:22 p.m. Someone stole a wood-grained racing steering wheel from 1994 Honda Civic parked at Camino Arroyo.
11:26 p.m. Police used a Taser to arrest a 43-year-old violent man who was breaking into cars on Arroyo Court.
Dec 17
1:58 p.m.: Gilroy police chased a parolee at large in a stolen car for four miles before he abandoned it on Sunflower Circle and escaped.
9:41 p.m.: A 28-year-old Gilroy man was arrested after being questioned in a car parked behind the Garden City Card Room. He allegedly disposed of a bindle of cocaine in the back seat of the police car holding him. He was given a misdemeanor citation and released.
11:01 p.m.: A 39-year-old Gilroy man was arrested after stealing three cases of water from Safeway on Leavesley Road He threw bottles at the building and in the parking lot. When police pulled up, he removed a meth pipe from his pocked and destroyed it.
Dec. 18
12:24 a.m.: A 48-year-old man blew through a DUI checkpoint, but was stopped by police at Howson and Monterey streets. Sheranjit Singh Dosanjh had two DUI arrests over the past 10 years and four total and had a blood alcohol level of .16, or twice the legal limit.
1 p.m.: A man was spotted putting a bandana on his face while loitering at a First Street store. When he refused to cooperate with police, they used a taser to arrest him.
9:45 p.m.: Someone stole two valuable guitars from a car parked on Chestnut Street: a Taylor Model 200 worth $3099 and a Martin valued at $1,300.
