The Gilroy Police Department responded to a variety of crimes this week including sexual assault, a hit and run, a discharged air gun and assault with a deadly weapon. Arrests are recorded from the GPD’s blotter dating Nov. 11 through Nov. 18.
Sexual assault of a minor
-Garry Caspary, 45, on Nov. 10 at 5:19 p.m. on the 7700 block of Eigleberry Street for sexual penetration by force or violence, oral copulation or sexual penetration, continuous sexual abuse, lewd or lascivious act on a child, aggravated sexual assault of a minor.
Lewd and lascivious acts on a child
-Jesus Hernandez, 24, on Nov. 16 at 4:28 a.m. on the 7100 block of Church Street for lewd and lascivious acts with a child.
Battery
-Luiz Corona, 22, on Nov. 16 at 2:25 a.m. on the 8400 block of San Ysidro Avenue for battery.
-Steven Segura, 22, on Nov. 16 at 3:30 a.m. on the 8400 block of San Ysidro Avenue for battery.
Corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant
-Nuri Carbajal, 22, on Nov. 14 at 1:37 p.m. on the 9000 block of Kern Avenue for inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
Resisting a peace officer
-Jessica Garcia, 20, on Nov. 16 at 2:54 p.m. near the intersection of Alexander Street and Lewis Street for resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer.
Controlled substances
-Todd Pederson, 49, at 7:56 p.m. on Nov. 12 on the 8800 block of Maroka for possession of a controlled substance.
-Anthony Gonzales, 48, on Nov. 14 at 4:15 p.m. near the intersection of Welburn Avenue and Diane Court for possession of a controlled substance and use or being under the influence of a controlled substance.
-Jason Benitez, 35, on Nov. 17 at 3:37 p.m. near the intersection of Gennaro Way and Fortunata Place for use or being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
Drunk in public
-Amy Borba, 40, on Nov. 11 at 5:14 p.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for being drunk in public.
-Juan Delatorre, 32, on Nov. 12 at 12:22 a.m. on the 8200 block of Arroyo Circle for being drunk in public.
Intoxicating liquor in a public place
-Luis Torres, 30, on Nov. 12 at 10:20 a.m. on the 600 block of First Street for intoxicating liquor in a public place.
-Scott Graahm, 27, on Nov. 13 at 5:20 p.m. near the intersection of Westwood Drive and First Street for intoxicating liquor in a public place and discharging an air gun.
Burglary tools
-Ethan Fortuna, 23, at 2:42 a.m. on the 5900 block of Travel Park Circle for possession of burglary tools.
Driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or higher
-Ricardo Melendrez, 27, on Nov. 13 at 11:28 p.m. near the intersection of Hanna Street and Sixth Street for driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or higher and driving under the influence.

-Kathryn Knake, 18, on Nov. 14 at 4:53 p.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for petty theft.
-Jairo Martinez, 18, on Nov. 15 at 7:11 p.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for petty theft.

-Brian Lowery, 35, on Nov. 11 at 11:37 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 152 and El Toro Way for possession of a hypodermic needle / syringe, driving with privileges suspended or revoked, possession of a controlled substance, a hit and run, driving in willful disregard of safety and use or being under the influence of a controlled substance.

-Guillermo Solismeneses, 26, on Nov. 16 at 4:52 a.m. on the 1500 block of Calabrese Way for challenging or fighting in a public place, being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance and vandalism damage between $5,000 and $50,000.
-Roger Flores, 36, on Nov. 16 at 2:54 p.m. near the intersection of Alexander Street and Lewis Street for resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer, possession of a controlled substance, use or being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and petty theft.
