A dispute erupted where a suspect jumped in the bed of the
victim’s pick-up on Lexington Place, 4:12 p.m. Sunday. The suspect
attempted to punch and stab the victim through the driver’s door
window with a razor knife. The victim swerved to get the suspect of
the bed of his pick-up. The suspect was thrown from the pick-up,
striking the asphalt and suffering a fractured leg. Other family
members arrived on scene and hit the victim.
Fraud

An unknown person or persons stole a check in the mail for $200, Oct. 31, 2008.

No Injury accident

Two vehicles collided in the parking lot of 401 E. Tenth St., 12:46 p.m. Jan. 16. One driver had no license and was cited.

A property damage-only collision occurred at Church and Gurries streets, 2:25 p.m. Jan. 16 .

A driver made an unsafe turning movement and struck two parked cars on West Seventh Street, 9:53 a.m. Saturday.

Injury accident

An accident occurred at Leavesley Road and Monterey Street, 7:52 p.m. Jan. 16.

A skateboarder held onto a vehicle, lost control and fell of his skateboard onto the ground, suffering several facial and head injuries, on Buena Vista and No Name Uno Streets, 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Lost property

An unspecified person lost her “Matricula Consular” – or consulate card – on the 100 block of First Street, Aug. 15, 2008.

Dog bite

An unspecified person was bitten by a dog on Blacksmith Drive, 5 p.m. Jan. 11.

Weapons

Two juvenile sisters were arguing on Dorris Court, 5:01 p.m. Jan. 16. One sister threatened to “shank” the other with a pair of scissors she was holding. She was arrested and sent to juvenile hall.

An adult male brandished a knife at the victims during an argument on First and Hanna Streets, 4:55 p.m. Sunday.

ID Theft

A thief used a social security number to obtain two jobs during 2006. The victim discovered the identity theft when he received a notice from the IRS stating he owed unpaid taxes.

Road laws

A driver was stopped for failing to use headlamps at night, 6:17 p.m. Jan. 16. The driver was unlicensed and the car was impounded.

Recovered vehicle

A white Toyota Camry was found in the parking lot of the outlets, Saturday. The vehicle was reported stolen Jan. 13 out of San Jose. The vehicle was stored at Marx Towing.

Petty theft

A thief stole a rear license plate from a car on Rosanna Street, between 8 and 10 p.m. Saturday.

Two unknown suspects entered a store on Monterey Street and stole three 18-packs of Budweiser, 6:43 p.m. Sunday. The two suspects were last seen getting into a white four-door Chevy car and driving southbound on Eigleberry Street.

A thief entered an unlocked vehicle on Pierce Street and stole miscellaneous paperwork, a disabled placecard and about 40 CDs, between 11 p.m. Sunday and 7:34 a.m. Monday.

A thief took an identification card out of a vehicle with a lowered window on Wren Avenue, 9:03 a.m. Monday.

A thief stole two Jamba Juice gift cards, valued at $27, from an unlocked vehicle in the 7700 block of Driftwood Terrace, 9:04 a.m. Monday.

Grand theft

Three suspects entered the Coach store in the outlets, between 4:30 and 5:12 p.m. Saturday. While one suspect distracted an employee, the other suspect took hand bags and placed them into other bags. The third suspect acted as a lookout. The suspects fled the store without paying for any items and were seen driving away in a blue vehicle. The vehicle’s license plate was covered with an unknown object so the numbers could not be read. The six bags taken were valued at $1,811.

A thief was inside a motel room on Leavesley Road with two other people, 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The victim briefly left the room and when he returned both the suspects were gone as well as $400 in cash and the victim’s car keys.

A thief took $22,500 worth of jewelry from an Eagle Ridge Drive residence, between Jan. 7 and Sunday.

Burglary

A burglar pried open the bird cages at Petco on San Ysidro Avenue, between 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday. The suspect stole a white bellied caique valued at $1,499.99.

Vandalism

A vandal was arrested for slashing three tires on Westwood Drive, 6:56 p.m. Saturday.

Hit and run

A driver rear-ended another vehicle and fled the scene before police could arrive, 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

A driver in a white vehicle caused a four-car accident resulting in injuries and fled the scene on Church Street and Welburn Avenue, 5:27 p.m. Sunday.

Assault

A female juvenile was attacked by two unidentified females in the area of Las Animas Park, 9:52 p.m. Saturday.

A person pulled a female out of a vehicle and began kicking her on the ground on Third Street, 10:15 p.m. Saturday. The victim stood up and walked toward the sidewalk and the suspect grabbed her and threw her back down on the ground. The suspect was last seen heading westbound on Third Street.

A woman said she was slapped in the face by her husband during a domestic dispute on Springdale Court, 12:34 a.m. Sunday. The suspect fled prior to police arrival and has not been located. A peaceful contact order is on file.

Two adult female cousins were involved in a knife fight on IOOF Avenue, 10:55 p.m. Monday. One had a bread knife that the other claimed was used in the attack. Both suspects suffered minor injuries.

Narcotics

Lorena Lopez Ortiz was arrested after police found a white powdery substance during a consented search of her purse on Third Street,, 10:58 p.m. Saturday. During the search, a plastic bindle containing a white rock-like substance was found in her cigarettes.

Robbery

A Hispanic male adult between 30 and 40 years old entered Charlie’s Liquor Store, simulated a handgun and took one 18-pack of Budweiser, 9:37 a.m. Sunday. The suspect fled on foot westbound on Tenth Street. No vehicle was seen or heard.

Disturbance

A person was cited for loud noise after a citizen’s arrest form was signed by a neighbor on Kelton Drive, 1:05 p.m. Sunday.

Auto burglary

A burglar broke the front passenger window of a Ford F150 parked outside 7661 Eigleberry St. and took an Ipod Shuffle, between 9 p.m. Jan. 16 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

A burglar took an Ipod valued at $300, an FM card adapter valued at $89, an ash tray with change inside, a 24 Hour Fitness card and other cards out of an unlocked vehicle parked in a garage on West Eighth Street, 11:29 Monday.

Two male suspects were seen removing a speaker box from a vehicle on East Sixth Street, 9:54 p.m. Monday. The suspects were scared off by the vehicle’s owner and fled prior to police arrival.

Petty shoplifting

A juvenile was cited and arrested for petty theft after he took $10.98 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo, 3:12 p.m. Sunday.

Mail tampering

A resident on London Drive found opened credit card statements in his yard, 3:08 p.m. on Sunday. The mail came from a residence that had been foreclosed several weeks ago and the mail was returned to post office.

Counterfeiting

An unknown person entered Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo, and attempted to purchase merchandise with several counterfeit bills, 8:40 a.m. Monday. When the suspect was told the bills were counterfeit, she fled the store in a black Toyota pick-up with license no. 6U59538. The Toyota was reported stolen out of the city of Campbell.

Stolen vehicle

A blue 1999 Toyota Corolla was stolen on Chestnut Street, 10:01 p.m. Monday.
