A person jumped on a car and kicked both the front and rear
windows out of the car 6:40 p.m. Thursday.
Grand theft
A man reported two chrome car rims, estimated value of $750, stolen Thursday from the 500 block of IOOF Avenue. He described the suspect as a black male adult in his early 20s.
Auto burglary
A 2004 Subaru’s hatchback window was smashed in the Motel 6 parking lot on Monterey Street between 9 p.m Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday. A computer bag, Dell laptop and camera cords were stolen. Damages and stolen property total more than $3,100.
A Volkswagon Jetta parked on the 700 block of Wisteria Drive was broken into between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 6:45 a.m. Thursday. The rear window was broken and a black sweatshirt was stolen.
A 2002 Dodge Stratus parked on Murray Street was broken into between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday. The front passenger window was broken and the stereo was stolen.
A 2002 Cadillac Escalade and a 2002 Chevy Silverado truck parked on Murray Street near IOOF Avenue was broken into between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Both front passenger windows were broken and a car stereo and speakers were stolen.
Petty theft
A wallet was stolen from a computer workstation at the Gilroy Library 4:15 p.m. Thursday.
Vandalism
