Police Blotter: Recent arrests made in Gilroy and Morgan Hill

Police arrested a student at Gilroy High School, 750 W. 10th
St., at 1:24 p.m. Feb. 1 after school staff allegedly found him
with a 3.5-inch locking bladed knife. Police also arrested a Gilroy
High student at 1 p.m. Jan. 29 who was allegedly seen passing
exstasy pills to another student. Police arrested a student around
the same time who was allegedly found on campus in possession of
marijuana and a marijuana smoking pipe.
Trading 12 fulls for an empty

At 10:44 p.m. Jan. 30, unknown suspects hit a male victim over the head with a beer bottle on the 300 block of Leavesley Road and stole a $14.99 12-pack of Corona beer that the victim had been carrying.

Man arrested for not following police orders

Gilroy police responded to the 7200 block of Dowdy Street at about 2 p.m. Jan. 31 following a report that several youths had been drinking alcoholic beverages in the driveway. Police said they saw people run into the house when they arrived, and they saw a man leaning into an open window. Police arrested the man, 23-year-old Esteban Palomares Pacheco, on charges of resisting or obstructing a police officer, after he allegedly refused to turn around and show police has hands.

Pit bulls attack small dog, two people

Two pit bulls attacked a small dog and bit two people on Welburn Avenue at 5:08 p.m. Jan. 31.

Middle school student arrest with drug paraphernalia

Police arrested a student at Brownell Middle School, 7800 Carmel St., at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 1 after school officials searched the student and found a glass pipe and two lighters used to smoke marijuana.

Three Gilroy High students arrested for drugs and weapons

Wal-Mart employee takes $1,700

Wal-Mart employee Fernando Escutia, 19, was arrested at 8 a.m. Dec. 14 after he allegedly stole about $1,700 from the business, 7150 Camino Arroyo.
