Three different players registered touchdowns for the Junior Pee Wees. Noah Laine returned a kick for a 70-yard score and also hit the end zone on a 32-yard sweep. Andres Abella scored from short yardage on a dive play and Joey Mitchell Jr . crossed the goal line on a 1-yard run. The defense continued its dominance and as allowed a mere 5.2 points per game in the first 5 games.Â
Junior Midgets
The Junior Midgets Browns outlasted the Vallejo Raiders in a defensive battle.
With Vallejo driving and only minutes left the Browns intercepted and ran the clock out to hold on in a thriller.
The Browns lone score came on an 8-yard run by Zach Almash, who rushed for more than 100 yards on the day.
Mitch Slater turned in another solid performance at quarterback, connecting with John Trujillo and his other receivers on key third downs.
The defense was the big story though, holding a strong Vallejo team scoreless.
The Junior Midgets are now 3-1-1.
