Ally Foster poses for a photo at the Arcada Invitational April 12 in Los Angeles.

Ally Foster further secured her identity as one of the premier track and field athletes in the state with a first place finish at the prestigious Arcadia Invitational Saturday in Los Angeles.
Foster finished on top in the 100-meter hurdles in a season-best time of 15.28. The junior also had a ninth place finish and season-best mark of 35-10 in the triple jump.
But she wasn’t alone in her successes.

The 1600 relay took home a fifth place finish, due in part to a huge push by anchor Natalie Gutierrez. She chased down Alyssa Ungrady of Great Oak and passed her two meters from the finish line to nab a medal. Guiterrez was accompanied by teammates Carly McPolin, Vanessa Koontz and Allita Watkins to finish in a season-best 4:04.91.

The 400 relay of Cydney Caradonna, Haley Romero, Koontz and McPolin also took fifth in 50.76.

Christopher will compete at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at North Monterey County.
