The Gilroy girls soccer team ended its two game skid against Pajaro Valley.
The Mustangs topped the visitors 2-0 at home on Jan. 22 to improve to 3-7 overall and 2-2 in league at that point.

Cougars drop close call to Seaside
Games don’t get much closer than this.
The Christopher girls basketball team lost by only one point, 46-45, to Seaside Tuesday. The loss drops the Cougars to 8-9 on the season, 3-3 in league play.

Gilroy falls to Alisal
The Gilroy boys soccer team has lost just twice this season, but the second loss was hard to swallow.
The Mustangs lost at the hands of rival Alisal, 2-0 at home Tuesday.Â
Benito Chavez scored in the 20th minute to put the visitors ahead 1-0. The second goal was a result of Gilroy scoring in its own goal, according to MBayPreps.com, in the 25th minute.
Gilroy (8-2-2 overall, 3-2-1 in league), will put league play on hold to square off against crosstown rival Christopher at 5:30 p.m. Friday.Â
