The Christopher field hockey team just couldn’t get its offense going Friday — but neither could Notre Dame.Â
The teams tied 0-0 at Notre Dame Friday, putting Christopher at an 11-4-1 overall record and 9-2-1 in league play.
The Cougars will be back on the field at 3:30 p.m. today and will host York.Â

Christopher goes 1-4 at Spikefest II, Gilroy does not compete
The Christopher girls volleyball team was able to pick up a win over Milpitas, but that was all it could muster up.
The Cougars went 1-4 at Spikefest II Saturday at Milpitas High School. They dropped their first contest to Rio Americano 6-25, 7-25 and followed that up with a 25-20, 25-20 win over Milpitas. Christopher then lost to Mercy (19-25, 13-25), Crystal Springs Uplands (25-13, 26-28, 6-15) and Cupertino (18-25, 25-23, 6-15).Â
Gilroy was also supposed to participate in the tournament, but due to homecoming, SAT testing and club tryouts it was not able to field a large enough team to compete.Â
Christopher’s final game of the year will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Watsonville.
Gilroy will play its final home game at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday vs. Alisal before closing out the season at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at North Monterey County.Â
