VOLLEYBALL
CHS falls to Santa Catalina
Olivia Tabron’s 11 kills weren’t enough to lift Christopher past Santa Catalina Tuesday.
The Cougars lost 3-1 (10-25, 13-25, 25-18, 11-25) to Santa Catalina, putting them at 3-2 on the year.
“We just did not have our best stuff tonight,” CHS coach Brian Calimpong said. “After coming off an intense win the night before, I felt our energy was zapped a bit. That is no excuse, because we know that we need to bring it every night at this level.”
Audrey Zitnay had three aces for the Cougars, while Marielle Gomez had 15 digs. Cheyanna Dela Merced had 18 assists.
Christopher will be back on the court at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Gilroy High.
