board regarding the $26.7 million new police facility.

I’m a little late with my comment but here it is.
I totally support the opinion of the Gilroy Dispatch editorial board regarding the $26.7 million new police facility. I hope the voters of this city will also support your opinion! I believe they should demand to know, who the idiots are that would propose such an expensive project at this time of, ( as you stated ), “dollars are short and the demands on taxpayers loom ever larger.”
How can any city official talk about the lack of “state support” and having to “cut back on services” etc. and have the nerve to be proud enough to say they are going to spend $26.7 million? I did not go to the public meeting last night but I’m sure there is still NO WAY to justify this. The schemes , such as this “Taj Mahal” police station, by politicians and administrators is disgusting !
I hope that the voters will do as you suggest and respond “loudly and in great numbers!”
