A funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home 17720 Monterey Street Morgan Hill on Wednesday, November 28 at 1:00 P.M.
 Raymond passed away peacefully at home in his sleep at the age of 103. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha.
 Raymond is survived by his niece Judi Oberthier, her husband Jerry and their family and by his niece Nancy Schnaidt, her husband Larry and their family. The family includes many great nieces and nephews.
 Uncle Ray was a large part of his family’s life. He will be dearly missed by them and also by his devoted caregiver Regina Bangi, his extended family and many friends in the Morgan Hill area.
 Raymond lived his entire life in the Morgan Hill area and was a partner with his brother Lee on their ranch. The prune orchard eventually gave way to chicken houses and egg production.
 Ray and Lee hunted, fished and golfed together and traveled with their wives to Europe and Asia. A highlight of their travels was to Denmark, the country of their heritage, visiting family while there.
Raymond was active in Morgan Hill Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shriners, Fish and Game, and Ducks Unlimited.
In lieu of flowers, Raymond’s family requests donations to the Hospice Association or a charity of your choice.
