Local gymnasts score high in finale
STOCKTON – The tumblers from the Morgan Hill Gymnastics Club brought their best routines with them as they competed in the Oct. 26 ‘Reach For The Stars’ Invitational, hosted by Gymstars Gymnastics in Stockton.

The top two placers – eight-year-old Alyssa Tacci and 10-year-old Guilia Seminatore – finished up the fall season in style while teammate Amanda Suniga and Seminatore have qualified for the Nov. 9 Zone Championships in Salinas. Gymnasts must compile at least one all-around score of 31.00 or more in a regular-season meet to qualify.

Tacci – who won three straight all-arounds – placed second at the Level 4 division with a 34.15 all-around that included a first-place mark on bars (8.5), third-place marks on vault (9.1) and floor (8.55), as well as a fourth-place mark on beam (8.0).
