Bad News moved to 4-0 atop the Men’s Winter CC League standings Friday with a 14-9 decision over Pro Electric at Las Animas Park.
Daniel Salinas poked a two-run home run as the News built a one and one-half game lead over the 3-2 Boss Hawgz. Pro Electric slipped into third at 2-2.
Juan Gutierrez doubled and singled to highlight a seven-run explosion for Bad News in the first inning. Josh Gonzales clubbed a three-run home run and Mike Sandoval went 3-for-3 for Pro Electric.
Countryside ended a four-game slide with a 22-16 upset over Dutchman’s Pizza.
Trailing 15-12 after six, Countryside erupted for 10 runs in the seventh, keyed by a two hits from Bob Reggiani and two-run triples from Charlie Roe and Tim DeCarlo.
Roe went 4-for-4, Kris Ferguson 4-for-5 for Countryside. Mitch MacVicar, Paolo Periera and Norm MacVicar each netted four hits for Dutchman’s (2-2).
The Boss Hawgs extended a winning streak to three with a 26-9 nod over Aladdin Bail Bonds-Rhino Wiring.
Alex Bueno drove in 10 runs for the Boss Hawgz on a pair of homers, pair of sacrifice flies and pair of doubles. Gabriel Rodriquez scored five runs and Anthony Bautista homered for the Hawgs. Scott Rader and Mario Razo cracked Aladdin-Rhino homers.
EvMar is 5-0 in Men’s Winter E action after a 21-13 decision over Team Heinzen Friday at Christmas Hill Park.
Tim Graves hit a grand slam and Eric Wischman collected two doubles and a single for the winners. Matt Coughlin homered and Stephan Jones produced a triple and three singles for Team Heinzen.

Rudy Rodriguez doubled home the tying run and scored on an error. Chris Alonzo homered for the winners. Ernesto Salinas went 4-for-4 for the Gamers In Control.

Angelica Garcia’s two-out RBI-single capped a seven-run rally in the top of the ninth for Dutchman’s (4-0-1). Turnin’ Two scored six runs with two out in the bottom of the ninth to save the tie. Tim Adams went 6-for-6 and Manuel Arce homered for the Two. Willie Gamboa homered for Dutchman’s.
Justin Mo Davis collected two doubles and a single to drive in four runs in a 15-8 Slammers win over Rosso’s Ballers. Larry Bragg homered and Joel Gaeta and Danny Mendoza each went 3-for-3 for Rosso’s.
J.C. Ceballos cracked a home run and two doubles as Frame Your Family In Eyewear outlasted Rush Order Inc. 11-6. Danny Pequeno ripped two triples and a homer for Rush Order.

Adrian Guzman and Robert Estrada each lined a two-run triple in a seven-run third inning for the winners. Tony Estrada scored four Auto Tech runs. Jose Serrano and Benito Landeros each went 2-for-2 for Cosa Nostra.
