No Soup 4 You moved to 2-0 atop the Men’s Tuesday EE Softball League standings with a 12-1 nod over Beer 30 at Las Animas Park.
Johnny Castaneda hit a triple, double and single to key the Soup offense. Steve Dozal plated Ryan Navarrete with the lone Beer 30 run.
Beer 30 split its doubleheader, edging Baker Pump 10-9. Jordan Rios helped Beer 30 to a five-run rally in the fourth with a run-scoring double. Rich Hernandez and Jorge Montero each collected three hits for the winners. Bobby Martin went 3 for 4 for Baker Pump.
The Assassins turned back RMS 25-18 as Sal Mendez and Jason Corona each scored five runs. Scott Mead homered and Rudy Maquinalez added four hits and scored four runs. Manuel Fonseca homered and Michael Martinez went 3 for 4 and scored four RMS runs.
The Loco Boys slipped into first place in the Tuesday E League with a 7-6 squeaker over Those Guys at Christmas Hill Park.
John Carrillo and Joel Garcia each went 3-for-4 to spark the Loco Boys (2-0) offense. Johnny Bueno singled and scored the deciding run in the Loco Boys sixth inning. Steve Aguirre went 2-for-3 and scored two Those Guys runs.
Those Guys split a twinbill by edging Fastenal 17-14 as Johnny Andrade went 4 for 4. Joe Ojeda went 4 for 4, Ryno Sousa and Mike Gonzales each 3 for 3 for Fastenal.
Las Frijolitas reached 2-0 in Women’s C play Wednesday with a 19-13 nod over Loca Girls. Jaime Hill powered two triples and two doubles for the division leaders. Shante Mancera delivered three hits and scored three runs. Breanna Salgado went 3 for 3 and Denise Chavez scored three runs for Loca Girls.
Corey’s Girls-Heavy’s Grill used a seven-run sixth inning to turn back Cal Silk Screen Printing 7-5. Ashley Gamboa doubled and singled in the winning rally. Suzanne Fox and Evelyn Martinez each posted three Cal Silk hits.
Laura Klemba went 3 for 5 and scored four runs to lead Pops’ Gals by Saint Louise Bruisers 19-4. Lexy Nuno and Christina Borella each went 2 for 2 for the Bruisers.
Jake Maslanka hit two home runs, Chris Wong and Jeff Wong one each in a 21-14 Garlic City Computer & Network win over Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors in Wednesday DD League action. Benjie Sanchez went 3 for 3 for the Floormen.
Armando Franco’s RBI single capped a four-run rally in the bottom of the seventh as the Borrachos clipped the Blacktop Bombers 15-14. Danny Melendez homered for the Borrachos. Reggie Stanley went 4 for 5 and Zach Stanley scored four Bomber runs.
Noah (2-0) topped Trevino Brothers Construction 20-18 in Thursday E play.
Adrian Burciaga’s home run opened the Noah seventh frame. Abraham Burciaga Jr. went 5 for 5 and Abraham Burciaga Sr. homered for Noah. Matt Galindo went 4 for 5 and scored four runs for Trevino Brothers. Ryan Mull added a three-run home run.
Matt Hernandez homered in a 4-for-4 showing as 2-0 C&J Maintenance topped Extreme Air 18-1. Barry Diedrick went 3 for 3 for Extreme Air.
The Heathens edged Gilroy VFW Vet 13-7 behind five hits from Danny Rubalcava. Daniel Montenegro homered in a five RBI night for VFW Vets.
Clayton Eslick and Steven Quistian each went 4 for 4 to lift R&M Transportation by Team OMG 21-19 in Thursday EE League play. Sal Mendez went 4 for 5 for OMG.
Matt Jimenez homered and Kevin Belanger scored four runs in a 22-7 Claddagh victory over Gilroy Thunder. Tim Buich went 3 for 4 for Thunder.
