GILROY—Under Construction outlasted Old City Hall 25-15 Friday to leave both clubs at 5-3 in the Men’s EE League standings at Las Animas Veterans Park.
Austin Garcia stroked three home runs. Adrian Lujan and Nate Newman added one apiece for the Builders. Raul Gracia hit a triple, double and single for Old City Hall.
Humboldt Brewing pushed across two runs in the eighth inning to edge Gil’s Warriors 16-14.
The Warriors forced the extra inning when Mike Kachel and Tony Martinez hit consecutive two-out RBI-singles in the bottom of the seventh. Robert Silvia launched two home runs and a double for Gil’s. Mark Maggiora and Ben Roybal singled and scored the deciding runs in the Humboldt eighth.
Women
Unladylike clinched at least a tie for the regular-season title with a 13-3 nod over the Dirty Diamonds at Las Animas June 17.
Danielle Sanchez homered and Liz Adams added three singles as Unladylike moved to an 8-1 record. Jaime Hall provided a home run and two singles for the Diamonds.
Pops’ Gals joined the Diamonds at 5-4 in second place with a 16-7 victory over Just 4 Fun. Shawna Snakenburg scored three runs and Alicia Reese and Toni Montoya each homered for Pops’ Gals. Kim Lychak went 3 for 3 for Just 4 Fun.
Wednesday E
Golden State Bail Bonds reached 7-1 with a 15-6 verdict over Trevino Brothers Construction at Christmas Hill Park.
Herman Valderrama hit a pair of RBI-singles in an 11-run first frame for the Bondsmen. Louie Garcia and Chris Del Real each managed four hits for the winners. Ryan Mall went 3 for 4 and scored three Trevino Brothers runs.
R&M Transport slipped to 6-2 with an 11-7 loss to Sons of Pitches.
Ryan Evanger capped a four-run explosion in the top of the seventh with a two-run triple as Pitches snapped a 7-7 tie. Clay Eslick tripled and doubled for R&M.
Lonnie Terrill crushed four hits and Ponch Flores scored three runs to help Anritsu past No Soup 4 You 10-5. Jeff Maskell went 3 for 3 for the Soup.
Thursday EE
Claddagh claimed sole possession of first place at 7-1 with an 18-3 win over Ninja Sushi.
Willie Weihman, Gabe Andrade and Matt Jimenez roped home runs for Claddagh. Tim Graves scored two Ninja Sushi runs.
The Assassins dropped to 6-2 by losing to VFW Bingo 17-13. Sean Subia homered and Daniel Caspary and Marco Lopez each scored three Bingo runs. George Palacios hit a triple and two singles for the Assassins.
Adolfo Tellez scored three runs and Jesus Begines collected three hits to lead New Hop Community Church by Gilroy Thunder 15-2. Nahim Zendehas and Dominic Padilla scored the Thunder runs.
Wednesday E
HD Auto Glass Players moved to 7-2 with a 7-3 decision over Cold Pop at Christmas Hill Park.
Jake Moreno and Greg Lucio each scored two Players runs. Zach Stanley hit a solo homer for Cold Pop.
Feather Haven (5-4) outlasted Bang a Pitch 6-4 as John DeCarlo scored two runs. Adrian Medina hit a double and two singles for Bang a Pitch.
Tuesday DD
Team Caley improved to 4-5 with an 18-8 victory over the Borrachos at Las Animas.
Ryan Evanger and Dave Newton each homered for Team Caley. Joel Gaeta scored three runs and Paulo Perez garnered three hits for the Borrachos.
