GILROY – Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors clinched at least a tie for the Tuesday Men’s DD Softball League regular-season crown with a 7-1 victory over Walton & Sons Masonry at Christmas Hill Park.

After Walton & Sons (6-4) took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second on consecutive hits by Albert Vegas, Ricardo Roscon and Geoff Graves, the Floormen responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning. Jades Garcia’s RBI-double pulled the Floormen (8-2) even and John Hagins followed with a two-run single.

Hagins added an RBI-single in the fourth inning. Tim Graves, Geoff Graves and Roscon each managed two hits for Walton & Sons.

Sons of Pitches remained in a tie for fourth place with a 14-13 comeback nod over the 953 Boys.

The 953 Boys earned a 13-6 lead after four innings by producing seven runs in the second and six in the fourth. Daniel DeLeon went 5 for 5 and scored twice for the 953 Boys (3-7).

Trailing 13-8 after six, the Pitches scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh. Dave DeCarlo ignited the rally with a double and Jared Patterson completed the comeback with a two-run double. Aaron Parker powered a two-run homer in the third and a two-run single in the Pitches seventh. Patterson added a solo homerun and two triples. Justin Tilly scored four Pitches runs.

Out 2 Play moved to 7-0 atop the Co-Rec League standings Sunday at Las Animas Park with a 9-8 squeaker over Station 55.

Down 7-5 after six, Station 55 rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh for an 8-7 advantage. Cesar Lopez, Shante Mancera and Andy Alarcon each singled and scored for Station 55 (0-7).

Norma Wendt kept the Out 2 Play comeback alive in the seventh with a two-out single. Benny Carrasco reached base on an infield error to allow the tying run to score. Joel Garcia’s walk forced in Wendt with the winning run.

Pelon Alvarez went 4 for 4 and scored three Out 2 Play runs. Lopez went 4 for 4 and Dave Soto went 3 for 4 with a sacrifice fly for Station 55.

Team Rush held onto second place (5-2) with 7-4 decision over Hi-Energy Networks. Chrissy Nelms went 3 for 3 and Craig Martinez hit a two-run homer for Team Rush. Marco Lopez tripled and singled for Hi-Energy Networks.

Guts & Glory turned back Team Xtreme 22-5 as Carissa Kozacek scored four runs and Matias Franco plated five runs with a homer, triple and single. Rich Young went 2 for 2 and scored two Xtreme runs.

AJM Plastic Surgery improved to 7-0 in Friday DD League action with a 17-0 victory over the Watchmen. Tyler Price homered in a 12-run fourth inning for the Surgeons. Manny Romero went 2 for 2 for the Watchmen (1-6).

Jason Corona homered in a 5 for 5 showing as Team OMG outlasted Fastenal Nuts & Bolts 25-10. Ed Lujan went 5 for 5 for the winners. Scott Robb opened the game with a home run for Fastenal.

Cross Ministries scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to upset the Sweepers 14-12. Trailing 12-11 with two out, Alvaro Garza lined a three-run home run. Mitch Ponza went 4 for 5 with a home run for the Sweepers. The clubs share fourth place with 3-4 marks.
