Dear Editor:

Last week my car broke down on Highway 156 as I was driving back north from a stay in Southern California. It was about 8 p.m. and I didn’t know what the heck was wrong.

Fortunately for me a really nice guy named Mark Trinidad stopped and fixed the alternator just because he “Can’t stand seeing people stopped on the side of the road.” It took a little jerryrigging (we used a nut from a pair of broken skateboard trucks that I had in my car) and about two hours of work. Did I mention that Mark had a freshly broken shoulder from a four-wheeling accident? I just want to thank Mark for his outstanding generosity and compassion.
