Police stopped a San Jose man and allegedly found a half-ounce of methamphetamine in his vehicle at a Morgan Hill mobile home park.

Aldo Gomez, 29, was pulled over by Morgan Hill police about 10:45 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of Acacia Mobile Home park, on the 18000 block of Monterey Road, according to Sgt. Jerry Neumayer. He was driving a white 1997 Cadillac.

Officers found out Gomez was on probation for previous drug violations, and had a $20,000 warrant out for his arrest, for separate allegations of drug violations, Neumayer said.

When Gomez stopped the car and exited the vehicle, he appeared to be kneeling down on the ground near the vehicle. After searching the area, police found a plastic bag containing a glass smoking pipe, more than 14 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and unknown amount of marijuana, Neumayer said.

Gomez was arrested and booked into county jail on suspicion of possession of narcotics for sale, being under the influence of a controlled substance, violation of probation, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, Neumayer said.
