Gilroy Prep School, a brand new charter set to open in the fall, will hold a community fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday in the Walgreens parking lot at 770 First St. in Gilroy.

GPS has partnered with Earthcare Recycling, a San Jose company that specializes in recycling e-waste. The proceeds raised on Saturday will go towards a computer lab for the new charter school.

On Saturday Earthcare will accept a number of old and discarded items, including computers and computer accessories, home and office electronics, stereos and video game systems. The company also accepts appliances such as blenders or blow dryers, plus common recyclable items such as bubble wrap, aluminum and shipping peanuts. To view the complete list of accepted items, visit www.earthcarerecycling.com and click on “Items We Recycle.”
