Morgan Hill – Bob Dolci, Director of Single Services for EHC LifeBuilders, will speak on “Homelessness in South County” Tuesday, at 7:30pm at the Morgan Hill United Methodist Church, 17175 Monterey Road.
He will describe the number and types of people in the Morgan Hill, San Martin, and Gilroy areas who are homeless.
Dolci will highlight available services, but also explore how the community could help homeless people reestablish themselves into society.
“The armories that provide shelter at night during the coldest months close at the end of March,” said Lynn Morgan, a member of the MHUMC Women’s Group that is sponsoring the event. “In addition, a study was recently released that counted homeless people in Santa Clara County. Now is a perfect time to look at what can be done to help our neighbors through a difficult time.”
“We invite members of the community and other churches to join us on March 15,” said Ted Pecot, pastor of the Morgan Hill United Methodist Church. “People in this community have already demonstrated their willingness to reach out to the homeless and address their immediate needs. Now, let us expand our vision and look for more permanent solutions.”
