engagement of their daughter, Kristin Whitney to Ike Tito Basha.
Mr. Basha is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Basha of Tempe, Ariz. A
fall wedding is planned.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Mazon of Morgan Hill, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristin Whitney to Ike Tito Basha. Mr. Basha is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Basha of Tempe, Ariz. A fall wedding is planned.

Ms. Mazon is a graduate of The Sandra Day O’Conner School of Law and is employed by Jennings, Haug & Cunningham, LLP. Mr. Basha is a project manager in the marketing department at Basha Corporation in Chandler, Ariz.

HONOR

Nicole Evette Lara

Nicole Evette Lara was inducted into the Beta Sigma Iota Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Heald College-San Jose on June 18, 2010. Lara, from Gilroy, is majoring in criminal justice. She is the daughter of John Lara and Emma Burruel.

Established in 1918 by two-year college presidents, Phi Theta Kappa is the oldest and most prestigious honor society serving two-year colleges around the world.

Julia Sanchez and Jason Anders were married Sept. 5, 2010 at Hilton San Jose.

Julia, daughter of Mary Quintanar, Dennis Cook and Frank Quintanar, is a 2005 graduate of Monte Vista Christian High School in Watsonville. She received a bachelor’s degree in religious studies in 2008 from the University of Hawaii Manoa, Honolulu.

Jason, son of Donald Anders and Mary Anders, is a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. He is a 2005 graduate of Monte Vista Christian School and received a bachelor’s degree, with honors, in political science in 2009 at the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD.

Following a genuine friendship while in high school, Jason and Julia began a long-distance dating relationship while they attended college. Jason proposed marriage on a bent knee in the S.F. airport during Christmas 2009. The ceremony was well attended by many family members and friends who arrived from Hawaii to Maryland.

The couple resides in Twentynine Palms.
