ENGAGEMENT: Hernandez/Prak: Angela Hernandez and Peter Prak are engaged to be married.
Angela, daughter of Art and Darla Hernandez, is a 2008 graduate of San Benito High School and the Musicians Institute, 2011. She works at Mars Hill Coffeehouse.
Peter, son of Daniel and Suzanne Prak, is a 2004 graduate of San Benito High School. He works at San Benito County Juvenile Hall.
The couple plans a Nov. 10, 2012 wedding in Hollister.

HONORS
Patrick Dinsmore

Patrick Dinsmore, of Gilroy, attained his Eagle Scout Aug. 18, 2011. An Eagle Scout Court of Honor will be held Feb. 18 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Gilroy Presbyterian Church in Gilroy. He will also be recognized at a City Hall meeting Feb. 6 at 6 p.m.
For his Eagle Project, Patrick supervised a crew of scouts and adults in constructing 70 feet of split-rail fence to protect the habitat of the local wild life. This project was scheduled to be completed over two weekends, but Patrick had such great support from his fellow 792 troop scouts and parents, he completed it in the first weekend. The project benefited Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch, 372 Manila Drive, San Jose.
Patrick is the son of Glen and Barbara Dinsmore of Gilroy.

Andrew Boyd
Andrew Boyd was named to the President’s List at Seattle University for outstanding academic achievement for the fall quarter. Andrew, son of Robert and Janet Boyd, was the 2011 senior class president of Sobrato High School in Morgan Hill.

Chelsea Tamura
Chelsea Tamura, of Morgan Hill, was among 1,800 students from Wake Forest University who made the Fall Dean’s List. Wake Forest University is a top-25 university located in Winston-Salem, NC. Wake Forest combines the best tradition of a small liberal arts college with the resources of a national research university.

Emma Northcott
Emma Northcott, a resident of Morgan Hill, was among 1,800 students from Wake Forest University who made the Fall Dean’s List. Founded in 1834, Wake Forest University is a top-25 university located in Winston-Salem, N.C. Wake Forest combines the best tradition of a small liberal arts college with the resources of a national research university.

John England
Air Force Airman John W. England graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
England is the son of Denise Reeves of Hollister, and a 2009 graduate of San Benito High School.

ANNIVERSARY
Moores celebrate 50 years

Connie Lou Phillips and Michael Patrick Moore were married 50 joyful years ago.
They graduated from Chula Vista High School in 1959 and are members of the Almaden Valley Congregational Church.
They have a son, Barry Edward, of Dallas, Texas and a daughter, Lisa Baldonado, of Ventura. They have six grandchildren, Carson Moore of Alamo, Ga.; Sydney Moore of Dallas, Texas; Ryan Moore of Dallas, Texas; Kennedy Moore of Dallas, Texas; Laura Baldonado of Ventura; and Luke Baldonado of Ventura.
Connie is president of CLM, Inc. Mike is a graduate of Rollins College, Winterpark, Fla. and is retired from Lockheed-Martin.

Virginia Gomer

Virginia Gomer celebrated her 75th birthday Jan. 21. She has been a member of our community for more than 40 years when her and her husband, Richard Gomer, moved to Gilroy. Virginia is a mother of three, grandmother of nine and recently became a great-grandma.

Veronica Ana Patricia Rocha was born Dec. 31, 2011 at San Jose Kaiser to Celina Rose Gutierrez and Manuel Rocha of Morgan Hill. She weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces.
