Ashlyn Willson
Berklee College of Music announces that Ashlyn Willson of Gilroy has earned placement on the Dean’s List for the spring semester of the 2013 academic year. To be eligible for this honor, a full-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or above; a part-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.6 or above.
The Berklee curriculum focuses on practical career preparation for today’s music industry. Four-year degrees are offered in Performance, Jazz Composition, Music Production & Engineering, Film Scoring, Music Business/Management, Composition, Music Synthesis, Contemporary Writing & Production, Music Education, Songwriting, Music Therapy, and Professional Music.
Rebecca Inderhees
Rebecca Inderhees of Morgan Hill, has made the spring 2013 dean’s list at Hofstra University. Rebecca, class of 2014, is majoring in drama.
Hofstra University is a nationally ranked private university just 25 miles from New York City and all its cultural, recreational and professional opportunities.
Jennifer Velez
Jennifer Velez of Morgan Hill graduated from Drake University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in public relations.
Drake is a private, independent university in Des Moines, Iowa, with an enrollment of approximately 3,400 full-time undergraduate students and 1,900 graduate students from 49 states and 50 countries.
Amber Gamboa
Amber Gamboa, of Gilroy, is among hundreds of new students about to pursue a degree at the University of Mary in Bismarck, starting fall semester 2013.
Amber, a graduate of Gilroy High School, is active in high school softball and Strikkers Fastpitch Softball and volunteers at St. Joseph – Lord’s Table. She has earned recognition as member of the honor roll, named 2nd Team All-League and the American Legion Award. Gamboa plans to double major in education and speech pathology and play softball for the NCAA Division II Marauders of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). She is the daughter of Eduardo Gamboa and Elizabeth Perez of Gilroy.
