GILROY – Gilroy Screen Printing used a 14-hit attack to edge Team Wicked 6-5 and snap a five-game losing streak in the Men’s Fall DD League play Thursday at Las Animas Park.

Joaquin Chacon powered a two-run home run in the Printing fourth for a 3-2 lead. An RBI-double from Louis Lopez highlighted a two-run fifth for Gilroy Screen Printing. After a Chris Stainton Wicked RBI-triple in the top of the sixth tied it at 5-5, Alfredo Contreras singled and scored on a Chacon double.

Joel Perez, Armando Hernandez and Stainton each finished with two Wicked hits.

The Royals are second at 4-1-1 after a 14-12 11-inning victory over Feather Haven.

David Flores and Tom Shaver hit RBI-singles as the Royals broke an 8-8 tie with four runs in the top of the eighth. A two-run single from Albert Alosi helped Father Haven tally a matching four runs. Kevin Austin and Shaver hit sacrifice flies in the Royals tenth.

Vic Madden went 4-for-5 for the winners. Ryan McDonnell homered in a 4-for-6 night for Feather Haven.

The Bomb Squad exploded for five runs in the first inning on the way to an 11-7 win over the Loco Boys.

Cesar Lopez cracked a three-run double in the Bomb first frame. George Espinoza went 4-for-4 for the winners, Bobby Lucio 3-for-3 for the Loco Boys.

Cencal Auto Body grabbed a one-game lead in Men’s D play Tuesday with a 15-8 decision over the Hit Men.

Isaac Seymour homered in a 5-for-5 effort and Mike Richey provided a homer and two singles for 5-1 Cencal. Mario Razo homered and Mike McIntire tripled and singled for the Hit Men.

Gamers In Control upset the Players 14-13 behind three RBI-singles from Tim Graves, leaving both teams in second at 4-2. Gary Diaz and Randy Garcia each netted three Players hits.

Blackout Window Tinting is also 4-2 after outlasting the Titans 12-4. Chris Wong roped a triple, double and single for the Tinters. Jeff Wong hit a two-run homer and Matt Elam plated three runs. Steve Welch and Ryan Romero each fashioned two Titan hits.

Los Gigantes has a share of first place in Men’s C play after a 12-5 verdict over Most Wanted Monday.

Los Gigantes (4-1) broke a 5-5 tie with seven runs scored after two outs in the top of the seventh. Kurt Gitmed lined a two-run single in the rally. Lionel Ortiz and Roy Escudero each went 2-for-3 for Wanted (3-2).

Fred Gomez and David Sotelo each stroked three hits and scored three runs to aid a 13-5 C&R Communications win over Lozano’s Dirty Ghetto Boys. Ray Guzman went 3-for-3 for C&R (4-1). Lawrence Espinosa went 4-for-4 for Lozano’s (2-4).

Daniel Hernandez, Zack Torres, Steve Jaquez and Mike Olmeda each delivered three hits to pace Tax Systems past VFW Vets 16-9.
