The Da Vinci Code book and movie are nothing new.
After 2000 years, people are still drawn to Jesus. Question: “But who do you say that I am?” In the gospel of Matthew, the apostle Peter responds, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Unfortunately, that answer led to his death as it did for many early Christians. The Da Vinci Code offers an easier answer that poses no claim on our life. But what is that answer based on? How accurate are its claims? Everybody loves a conspiracy thriller but Jesus’ question deserves more than a night at the movies.
