Vandalism
– Guy Lou Hamilton, 23, Jan. 22, 9:25 a.m. near the 12000 block
of Sycamore Avenue in San Martin for vandalism. Hamilton drove to
the house, then rammed his vehicle into an unoccupied parked car
causing severe damage. Reports state Hamilton threw a clay pottery
turtle at the victims’ front door, causing damage to the glass
portion of the door and breaking the turtle. The estimated total
damage was $13,000. Hamilton was arrested on felony charges.
Vandalism

Street Racing

– Rafael Agraz, 21, for racing and driving without a license, and Gabriel Juarez Jr., 25, for racing, Feb. 6, 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Gilman Road and Holsclaw Road. Agraz and Juarez were racing against each other when they were stopped by an officer near the intersection of Sixth Street and Camino Arroyo. Both were released at the scene after being cited.

Possession/being under the influence

– Robin Hastie, 40, and Thomas Esparza, 40, Feb. 6, 12:46 a.m. near the intersection of Tilton Avenue and Monterey Highway in Morgan Hill for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. A plastic bag of methamphetamines was found in Hastie’s bra after she consented to a search. During a search, three plastic bags of methamphetamines were also discovered. Both were arrested, according to police reports.

– Rafael Sanchez, 28, and Melissa Munoz, 33, Feb. 1, 6:28 p.m. near the intersection of Monterey Highway and Highland Avenue in Morgan Hill for parole violation, possession of paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

– Vincent Casillas, 58, Feb. 4, 9 p.m. near the intersection of Seventh Street and Monterey Highway for being under the influence. An officer was patrolling the unincorporated areas of Gilroy when the officer encountered Casillas riding his bicycle with no white light on the front. Casillas was evaluated for being under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested, according to police reports.

– Anthony Charvez, 36, Rudy Ramirez, 48 and Maria Prado, 48, near the intersection of Leavesley Road and Swanston Lane Feb. 2, 8:07 p.m. for possession of methamphetamines and altering or forging vehicle tabs.

– Darren Johnson, 47, Jan. 28, 11:24 p.m. near the intersection of Leavesley Road and San Ysidro Avenue for possession of methamphetamines and parole hold. Johnson was on a bicycle and failed to obey a traffic sign when an officer stopped him.

Driving under the influence

– Donald Perry, 59, Feb. 5, 7:15 p.m. near the intersection of Highland Avenue and Monterey Road in San Martin for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

– Raul Escareno, 22, Feb. 1, 11:24 p.m. near the intersection of Old Monterey Road and Monterey Road in Morgan Hill for driving under the influence of a controlled substance and falsely identifying himself to a peace officer. At the time of the arrest, Escareno had a high pulse rate, his skin was warm to the touch and his eyelids were “fluttery.” Escareno admitted to using methamphetamines.

Drunk in public

– Jerry Bejarano, 26, Feb. 1, 8:03 p.m. near the intersection of Monterey Street and Eighth Street for being drunk in public.

Felon in possession of ammunition

– Robert Krickeberg, 46, Feb. 5, 12:00 p.m. near the 1300 block of Metcalf Road and San Felipe Road in Morgan Hill for being a convicted felon in possession of ammunition. An officer, along with a California Department of Fish and Game warden, were investigating a possible poaching call in an area near Metcalf Road which led them to Krickeberg. Krickeberg, who had been convicted of a felony in 2004, consented to a house search. The officer located a box of ammunition, two live rounds and nineteen empty cartridges. Ammunition was booked into evidence and Krickeberg was arrested.

Vehicle theft

– Daniel Bucio, 21, Jan. 25, 3:58 near the intersection of Chestnut Street and Martin Street for stealing a vehicle and driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Selling marijuana

– Morgan Parks, 18, Jan. 1, 10:09 p.m. near the intersection of West San Martin Road and Hayes Road in Morgan Hill for possession of marijuana for sale. According to police reports Parks was in possession of more than two ounces of marijuana, a digital scale, plastic bags and a price list. Parks also had text messages on his cell phone that talked about selling marijuana.
