Police Blotter: Recent arrests made in Gilroy and Morgan Hill

A man received delinquency notices in the mail for 15 checks
written in the Sacramento area for a total of $2,370.53. He noticed
his checkbook had gone missing from his car, 10:46 a.m. Aug. 7, on
the 8300 block of Burchell Road.
Sheriff’s arrests

Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana

Edgardo Centeno, 18, of Gilroy, 10:50 p.m. Sunday, near Southside Drive and Arizona Circle.

Narcotic registration violation

Anthony Wayne Barreras, 26, of Gilroy, 2:27 p.m. Saturday, near Monterey Road and U.S. 101 after deputies did a status check when they stopped him for riding his bicycle against the flow of traffic.

Other sheriff’s incidents

Stolen vehicle

A 2000 white GMC truck was stolen, between 12 p.m. Friday and 12 p.m. Sunday, on the 5400 block of Frazier Lake Road.

Illegal discharge of firearm

Deputies received a report of a shooting, 5:11 p.m. Aug. 7, on the 900 block of Arizona Circle at the Ochoa Labor Camp but could not locate any evidence or witnesses to verify the report.

Identity theft

Vandalism

A skip loader was driven around and the drive shaft was broken at a construction site, between 6:30 a.m. Aug. 6 and 7 a.m. Aug. 7, on the 8600 block of Pacheco Pass Highway.

Burglary

A garage window was broken and several items were stolen, between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Aug. 5, from a residence on the 3300 block of East Dunne Avenue in Morgan Hill.

Found property

A wallet was found, 11 a.m. Aug. 5, in the Woodchopper’s picnic area at Anderson Reservoir in Morgan Hill. Deputies were unable to contact the owner.

Theft by access card

Three unauthorized ATM transactions of $400 each were made to a Wells Fargo account, between 12 a.m. July 29 and 2 p.m. Aug. 5, on the 22000 of Calvert Street in Woodland Hills.
