Sheriff’s arrests

Under the influence of a controlled substance

Richard Burgos Orsino, 43, of Stockton, 3:09 a.m. Aug. 18, near Chestnut and 10th streets.

Fredy Sarabia Romero, 24, of Gilroy, 3:09 a.m. Aug. 18, near Chestnut and 10th streets.

Timothy Wade Warbrick, 33, transient, 2:54 p.m. Aug. 17, on the 100 block of Ogier Avenue in Morgan Hill.

Other sheriff’s incidents

Residential burglary

Shoes, hats, video games and $500 in cash were stolen from a residence on the 15000 block of Hill Road in Morgan Hill, between 9 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

A residence on the 1400 block of Buena Vista Avenue was broken into but nothing was stolen, between 4 p.m. Saturday and 12:20 a.m. Sunday.

Identity theft

A Gilroy man’s account information was used to make $1,234 in charges to his Capital One Bank account, between 12 a.m. June 1, 2007, and 12 a.m. Oct. 1, 2007.

Grand theft

A Hollister woman believes her two housekeepers took $2,450 worth of jewelry from her home on the 300 block of Walnut Avenue, between 8 a.m. July 23 and 12 p.m. Aug. 14.

Deputies believe a San Jose man stole a laptop worth $600 from a business on the 10000 block of Dougherty Avenue in Morgan Hill, between 12 a.m. June 25 and 12 a.m. June 29.

Petty theft

A cherry picker and miscellaneous Toyota engine parts were stolen from a property on the 100 block of Cohansey Avenue, between 11 p.m. Aug. 16 and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 17.

Deputies are looking for a Morgan Hill man who might have stolen tools from Lynch Plumbing and Pump Company on the 13000 block of Monterey Road in San Martin, between 12 p.m. March 19 and 12 p.m. Aug. 10.

Dumping hazardous materials

Two barrels of an unknown fluid believed to be used motor oil were dumped on the side of the road near Bolsa Road and Bloomfield Avenue, about 2:30 p.m. Aug. 18.
