Felony vandalism

Brent Aaron Winkler, 28, of Gilroy, 2:25 a.m. Saturday, near Monterey Road and San Martin Avenue in San Martin for felony vandalism and gross negligent discharge of a BB gun after he shot a BB gun at an occupied vehicle, causing about $500 in damage.

Under the influence of a controlled substance

Yezzica Itzel Espinosa, 19, of San Martin, 1:30 a.m. Nov. 5, on the 13100 block of Llagas Avenue in San Martin.

Vehicle burglary

A purse containing a camera, credit cards, a driver’s license and $50 in cash, all totaling about $1,110, was stolen from a black Lincoln Navigator, between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 a.m. Sunday, on the 10700 block of Green Valley Drive. A rock was used to break the vehicle’s window.

A purse was stolen from a 2000 dark green Honda Accord, between 1:20 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Thursday, on the 10000 block of Pacheco Pass Highway. The front passenger window of the car was broken. One of the stolen credit cards had been used to purchase $194 of merchandise.

A purse containing a wallet, driver’s license, credit cards and checkbook was stolen from a locked 1998 green Ford Explorer, between 11:10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Nov. 3, at Gavilan College, 5055 Santa Teresa Boulevard. The right rear window was broken.

Vandalism

A vehicle was used to break a wooden sign and damage three metal gates, causing about $1,750 in damage, between 5 p.m. Thursday and 6:15 a.m. Friday, on the 3200 block of Hecker Pass Highway.

Petty theft

Forty gallons of diesel fuel and a battery, all totaling about $125, were stolen from a red flat bed truck, between 2:30 p.m. Nov. 4 and 2 p.m. Nov. 5, near Columbet Avenue and Sherry Lane in San Martin.

A purse containing credit cards, check books, a driver’s license, a social security card and $78 in cash was stolen from an unlocked 2002 white Chevy Tahoe, about 10:20 a.m. Nov. 3, on the 200 block of San Martin Avenue in San Martin at the post office.

Burglary

Eight 300-feet spools of copper electric wire, 100 feet of welding wire and an extension cord, worth $5,305, were stolen from a locked storage shed, between 2 p.m. Nov. 1 and 7 a.m. Nov. 3, on the 500 block of Dougherty Avenue in Morgan Hill.
