The Gavilan College men’s soccer team scored three goals in a five-minute span of the first half and used that flurry to send away visiting Skyline College on Friday in Gilroy.
“There was a section there where everything was clicking, so that was really nice,” said Gavilan head coach Justin Johnson, whose Rams improve to 6-3-3 in the Coast Conference.
“We started off strong and we played well throughout the whole game,” Johnson added. “We kept the ball for maybe 80-percent of the game. We just played really well, and everybody got to play – which is good.”
With two road games still to come in the regular season, the Rams are trying to break into the postseason.
“Now we’ve got Foothill, which is a very good side,” Johnson said. “We will get prepared for that and take it one at at time.”
