Who’s that nifty little bovine in picture No. 6 with Cady McCowin, Hollister Free Lance page designer? And where the heck are they?
Meet Callie, the South Valley Cow. She’s one of the coolest, cutest area residents and she wants to hang out with you on your next
vacation, just like she hung out with Cady.
We’re hoping you’ll bring her along, whether you’re off to Australia for two weeks or Monterey for the weekend. If you take her to some of the sites and snap a picture of her with you or your family members, we’ll print it in the paper.
That’s when things get fun for the rest of us. We’ll publish the picture of you and Callie in front of the landmarks and sites you’ve visited, and our readers will guess where you are. Don’t worry – we’ll provide a few clues with the picture, as well as an answer box on a different page.
To show you how it’ll work, South Valley Newspapers’ employees, columnists, family members and friends have logged some miles with Callie already. Their snapshots are featured right here, along with the clues about where they were.
Take Cady, for example. She’s with Callie … a) in a city that share’s it’s name with the capital of Russia, b) near a landmark that’s home to the Vandals, and c) in a state where potatoes rule supreme.
