Imprescia named Ace of November
GILROY – The Gavilan Niners held their November Ace Day on Nov. 20 at the Gavilan Golf Course.
Ace for the month was Opal Imprescia, of Gilroy, with a net of 29. Imprescia also had low putts with 14 – which was good for first place in the first flight. Second in the first flight was Peggy Woolf, Morgan Hill, net 32.
First in the second flight was Elaine Rickard, Gilroy, net 32. Second was Ann Maloney, Gilroy, net 33. Third was Joy Chalmers, Morgan Hill, net 33. Fourth was Sylvia McGee, Morgan Hill, net 33. Marlene Sherwin, Morgan Hill, had a chip-in.
The Gavilan Niners play each Thursday morning at the Gavilan Golf Course in Gilroy. Tee time is 9 a.m. Please contact Peggy, 779-0886 or Jennie 847-1330 for more unformation.
Hot Shots softball tryouts on Dec. 6
SAN MARTIN – The Gilroy Hot Shots 14-Under girls fastpitch travel softball team will be holding tryouts for their 2004 season on Saturday, December 6 at 11 a.m. at Buck’s Field, 11465 Monterey Hwy, San Martin.
