GILROY—It’s been quite a season for Jacob Moen and the Christopher football team. The senior linebacker and tight end helped the Cougars to a Monterey Bay League Pacific Division title, a Central Coast Section playoff berth, their fourth straight Severance Bowl title as well as retaining the South County Championship crown for the second year in a row.

After dropping its first game of the Aptos Tournament, Christopher rebounded with two big wins to close it out.Â
Prep Wrestling: Eyes on the prize
GILROY—Alex Garcia etched his name into the Christopher record books last season when he became the first wrestler in school history to medal at state. This year, he’s looking to further cement his legacy and become the first Cougar to bring home a California Interscholastic Federation state title.
